Dry Stone Stout - 4.5%
Hawkshead Brewery

About the Brewery
Hawkshead have been brewing traditional beer styles with a modern twist in the Lake District since 2002. Starting in an old barn at Hawkshead, at the head of Esthwaite Water, the brewery outgrew it after four years and moved across Windermere to the present site, in the Mill Yard, beside the River Kent, at Staveley. Here they built a new brewery in Chadwick’s Mill, the old wood turning mill, and added The Beer Hall, the brewery tap, so that you can drink the beer where it is brewed.

Tasting Notes
A dry oatmeal stout, named after that enduring feature of the Lake District landscape, the dry stone wall and the skilled craftsmen who build them. Aromas of chocolate and coffee, complex rich deep flavours from a blend of 7 malts, moderate bitterness and a long dry finish make Dry Stone Stout a satisfying and warming black beer.

Available at the brewery tap, in selected beer shop and in cask and keg. Also available online through our beer shop.

Hawkshead Brewery's charity donation was to Kendal Mountain Rescue.
